Why Dojoto exists
Built by a sensei, for senseis.
I started training traditional ju-jitsu while I was studying in Switzerland. When I came back home to Bulgaria, I kept training under Hanshi Toni Petrov at the Central Police Karate and Ju-Jitsu Club, where I also took up Shotokan karate. Today I hold a 2nd dan black belt in both karate and ju-jitsu.
The problem on the mat
When I started leading trainings myself, I ran into a problem every sensei knows: keeping track of who came and who paid. The senseis around me used paper notebooks or Google Sheets. Neither was quick on the mat, and neither was easy to share with the other senseis.
I looked for software, but every dojo management system I found was built for something much bigger: memberships, online payments, bookings, belts. It was too complex and too much hassle for two simple questions.
So I built it
I have spent my career as a software engineer and an entrepreneur, so I built the tool I needed: open today's training, tap who came, tap who paid. Nothing else.
If my club had this problem, other clubs surely had it too. That is why Dojoto is now open to other dojos.
